Top 10 T20 Batsmen in 2013

The ICC Player Rankings are a widely followed system of rankings for international cricketers based on their recent performances. At beginning the rankings were only for test cricket but then One Day International and T20 rankings were introduced. These ratings help in evaluating a player’s current performance level in comparison to others. Below is the list of Current ICC top 10 T20 Ratings of the players.

1. Brendon McCullum:

Brendon McCullum (born 27 September 1981) is a New Zealand’s international cricketer and is the current captain of the cricket team in all the three forms of the international game. Brendon McCullum is one of the most dominant and brilliant player at the moment in International Cricket. A wicketkeeper-batsman, McCullum has played at different numbers in batting order and has been successful in scoring runs. He is the current No.1 Batsmen in ICC Twenty20 Ranking with rating of 818. 2. Alex Hales

Alexander Daniel Hales (born 3 January 1989) is an English cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler who currently plays for England Twenty20 International side. Hales did his Twenty20 debut for England in 2011. He is on No.2 in ICC Twenty20 Batsmen Ranking with rating of 777.

3. Mahela Jayawardene

Denagamage Praboth Mahela de Silva Jayawardene (born 27 May 1977), known as Mahela Jayawardene, is a batsmen and the former captain of the Sri Lankan cricket team. Mahela is known as an elegant and classy batsmen who has scored more than 10,000 runs in both test and ODIs. In 46 T20 matches he has scored 1293 runs with a strike rate of 133.

4. Shane Watson

Shane Robert Watson (born 17 June 1981) is an right-handed batsman and a right-handed fast medium bowler rom from Australia. After playing 36 T20 game he has scored 980 runs with a strike rate of 148, which makes him number four on this list.

5. David Warner

David Warner is also a left-handed opening batsmen for Australia who he better known for scoring fast runs and attacking the opposition’s bowlers. His figures for T20 are 1206 runs in 44 matches with a strike rate of 139.

6. Chris Gayle

Perhaps the worst nightmare for any bowler is in the form of Chris Gayle. He plays cricket for West Indies and has scored the fastest century across any format from 30 balls and the highest individual score (175) in an innings in T20 cricket. His figures stand to be 993 runs in 32 matches with 144 strike rate in T20Is.

7. M.J. Guptill

Martin James Guptill (born 30 September 1986) is a top-order batsman for New Zealand cricket Team. With his average of 35 he has scored 1168 runs in 41 T20Is having a strike rate of 124. His best score is 101 runs not out.

8.  Virat Kholi

Virat Kohli (born 5 November 1988) is an Indian international cricketer. He is a middle-order batsman, who can also bowl right arm medium pace. Virat plays his game aggressively and scores quickly. After playing 20 T20Is he has scored 558 runs with 130 strike rate.

9. Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina is an another attacking left-handed batsmen and an occasional off-spin bowler from Indian team who has achieved 9th position on this list. Suresh has played 36 T20Is and has scored 840 runs. His best score is 101 runs.

10. Marlon Samuels

Marlon Samuels is a right handed middle order batsmen from West Indian Cricket Team. Marlon Samuels has been able to score 584 runs in 23 T20 Internationals with a best of 85 runs not out.
