1. Sachin Tendulkar
Sachin Tendulkar is a former Indian cricketer who is known as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket. Tendulkar has been honored with the Padma Vibhushan award, which is India’s second highest civilian award and the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, which is India’s highest sporting honor. Sachin Tendulkar was ranked 78th among the richest sportsman in the world.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is an Indian cricketer and the captain of Indian Team. He is an middle-order batsman and a wicketkeeper. Dhoni is known as the most successful Indian cricket team captain ever as under his captaincy India has won many major tournaments including ICC World Twenty20 in 2007 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. Forbes ranked Dhoni at no.16 in the list of highest paid athletes in the world 2016.

4. Vijay Kumar
Vijay Kumar is an Indian army shooter who won silver medal for his country in 25-meter rapid pistol event at London Olympics. This success gave him a promotion to Subedar Major along with a cash prize of 30 lac from Army Chief General.

5. Saina Nehwal
Saina Nehwal is often called the queen of Indian badminton. She is the first ever Indian player to win a medal in the Olympics. In her career she has also won the Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold, Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold, Indonesia Open Super Series Premier and Denmark Open Super Series Premier.

6. MC Mary Kom
MC Mary Kom is a boxer from India. Despite winning five World Boxing Championships MC Mary Kom was not that much known among the people. But that all changed when she won a bronze medal in London Olympics where males failed to make an impact she emerged as the last hope of his country.

7. Girisha Hosanagara
Girisha Hosanagara is a paralympic high jumper from India. Girisha won the silver medal in the men’s high jump F42 event. He was awarded “Padma Shri” by the Government of India in 2013.

8. Viswanathan Anand
Viswanathan Anand  is an Indian chess player and the current World Chess Champion. Anand has won the World Chess Championship five times in his career. Anand is one of only six players in history to break the 2800 mark on the FIDE rating list.

9. Pankaj Advani
Pankaj Advani is an billiards and snooker player from India. He has won 8 World Titles in Billiards and snooker and is known as the best Indian player ever. He has also been awarded with many national awards including Arjuna Award, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award and the Padma Shri award.

10. Gagan Narang
Gagan Narang won a bronze medal in men’s 10 meter air rifle event and gave his country the first medal in London Olympics. He is also the third only shooter from India to win shooting medal in Olympics history.
