The Wimbledon 2013 winner Andy Murray says that he is not satisfied yet by just winning one Wimbledon and he wants to carry his this momentum further ahead in order to win more Grand Slam titles. Murray defeated the favorite for the tournament Novak Djokovic by 6-4, 7-5 and 6-4 to win the Wimbledon title.
“Murray Targets More Grand Slams After Wimbledon Win”
Andy Murray said:
“I may never win another slam, I don’t know, but I’m going to try as hard as I can and keep working hard and not worry about all of the other stuff that comes along with winning Wimbledon, and after a few days I will enjoy this and get back to work.”
After winning the Wimbledon Murray had taken a few weeks off from the court but has now returned back to the court for his preparations for the next tournament.
Despite of winning a Grand Slam recently Andy Murray is still ranked world no.2 in tennis players. Murray said that he know it is going to be difficult to become the no.1 in rankings but this is his dream and he is going to work hard for it. He further added that “You have to be so consistent throughout the whole year. Right now I hold two slams, the Olympic gold and the final of another slam and I’m still nowhere near number one in the world.”
The Murray’s next opportunity to win another Grand Slam will be at US Open where he will enter the tournament as defending champion. He also won that title in 2012 by defeating Novak Djokovic.
