The man accused of murdering the call of craigslist died in his prison cell – an apparent suicide. Philip Markoff, a medical student, is awaiting trial in March. He had pleaded guilty to the fatal shooting of a woman and stealing other hotels in Boston. Rhode Island prosecutors also accused him of assaulting a stripper.
Trial is scheduled for March next year, but now the authorities can do nothing because they can not prosecute a dead man. In fact, costs can be rejected.

There was no comment from the family Brisman on next steps in the case. They could make a civil lawsuit, but if they were in search of answers probably will not.
