Vancouver Games chief executive John Furlong has given a sneak preview of this Sunday’s closing ceremony at BC Place.
The final act of any Olympic Games is traditionally a more informal gathering than the opening ceremony and Furlong told reporters at a media briefing session on Wednesday: “I think you’ll find that the closing is a very Canadian, fun, happy show.
“You can expect that the closing ceremony will be a warm, happy, fun-filled goodbye.
“It will be a Canadian goodbye, in which we might poke a bit of fun at ourselves, but it will be a very pleasant and easy place to be for the closing ceremonies.”
