David Price and Tony Thompson will come face to face once again in the same ring for their rematch at Liverpool Echo Arena on 6th July 2013. It will be a 3 minute 12 rounds match. David Price was desperate to get this rematch as he was knocked out by  Tony Thompson in second round in David’s hometown. This knock-out resulted as the first lost in the career of Price after his 15 straight wins. Tony Thompson’s win over David was a shock for everyone. Thompson has lost his two world title fights with Wladimir Klitschko but was not expected to beat David Price when they met in February.

Boxing fans around the globe are impatiently waiting for this historic match as Price will try to get his revenge of his humiliating loss to Thompson and he would definitely like to knock him out.Thompson (37-3, 25 KO) shocked Price (15-1, 13 KO) in February, going to Price’s hometown and scoring the two-round win.Also on the bill Bristol’s Darren Hamilton (13-2) risks his British light-welterweight crown against Adil Anwar (19-1).

Price said:
“I’m pleased it’s sorted because it’s the only fight I want.”

Thompson was initially unwilling to face Price again in his home town. “They can talk all they want about a rematch, I am not coming over here again,” said Thompson immediately after their first meeting. But Price had the rematch clause in the contract so Thompson had no way out. Thompson was so delighted with this victory that he started running around the ring while shouting: “I told you so.”

He can boast a good record of 36-3 (24 by KO) and that looks even more impressive given his only defeats since 2000 have come against Wladimir Klitschko.It will be the same venue that was stunned into silence in February when American Tony Thompson caught Price beneath the ear and turned the lights out for him. Now we will have to see if Price gets the revenge or Thompson will again create an upset for the home crowd but for this Thomson will have to come back on the top of his game and also a fair amount of luck.

Prediction:
David Price seems to be favorite for the fight as he has a hometown advantage plus he is looking more confident about winning the fight. The only way Thompson is having a chance to win this fight if he can get a lucky punch like the last fight.
