A penalty stroke was rewarded two minutes later and D. Roemer scored to tie the game at one.
In the second half India came out strong and went ahead after a free play goal at the 42nd minute mark. Again, it didn’t take the Canadian’s long to respond. 7 minutes later they received their first penalty corner of the game and Di Roemer scored her second goal of the game on a drag flick.
“The girls really played well today and for the first time we competed for an entire 70 minutes. We have learned many lessons and have adapted well. Hopefully our upcoming series against Chile will solidify our overall team play” said Head Coach Louis Mendonca.
