Pakistan football team will face India in their first match of South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship 2013 at Kathmandu, Nepal. The event takes place after every two years and Pakistan has also hosted the SAFF Championship on two occasion till now once in 1993 (the first SAFF Championship) and then in 2005. Pakistan was the first South Asian side which included foreign based football players of Pakistani origin in their team. For this edition of SAFF Championship, 21 member squad will travel to Nepal which includes 17 local and 4 foreign-based players. Pakistan football team is coming into SAFF Championship 2013 after a few good recent performances including a draw against Maldives and two victories over the SAFF Championship 2013 host team Nepal.
