The Indian football team squad for SAFF Championship 2013 has been announced. A total 20 players squad has been announced for the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship 2013 for Indian team. India is the most successful football team in SAFF Championship with 6 titles on its name out of total nine editions of the tournament. This time India will start their SAFF Championship journey with first match against Pakistan football team.
This time India football team has been placed in Group A along with Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh. Indian coach Wim Koevermans wants to keep their title reign going that’s why he has advised his team players to treat every single match like the final of SAFF Championship. Kim Koevemans said:
“We have to treat each and every team with the same amount of respect. If we want to win the title, we will have to win five finals starting from Sunday (against Pakistan). There is of course a lot of pressure on us as everybody expects us to win and every team wants to beat India but we are ready for the challenge.”
