One of the most famous and the finest football player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo has extended his contract with his current club Real Madrid. No official announcement has been made about the new salary of Cristiano Ronaldo but according to the news by Spanish media the new annual wage is around 17 million euros which makes Ronaldo most paid footballer in the world. Real Madrid’s biggest rival club FC Barcelona, pays 16 million euros to the four time World player of the year Lionel Messi.
“Ronaldo Extends Real Madrid Contract”
Ronaldo had left the English Premier League club, Manchester United 2009 for a that time record transfer fee of 94 million euros. Cristiano Ronaldo and the Real Madrid club’s president Florentino Perez signed the new contract at the Bernabeu stadium and then talked to media about it. Ronaldo has extended his contract with the club to 2018 which according to Ronaldo may be the last year of his career.
There were a lot of rumors about the possible return of Cristiano Ronaldo to the old club Manchester United in 2018 after the expiration of his contract with Real Madrid. But Ronaldo has proved everyone wrong after signing a further 3 years contract with his current club. While talking to the media about Manchester United Cristiano Ronaldo said:
“Everyone knows I was in Manchester for six years and it was a club that give me many, many things and I don’t forget that, But Manchester, it’s the past.”
The Real Madrid president Perez was always very confident about the fact that Ronaldo will stay with the club till the end of his career. In July Peraz had told media that “Ronaldo wants to stay with the club till his retirement and we also want him to retire here, just like Zinedine Zidane and so many other players did.”
Ronaldo has played 203 matches for Real Madrid and has scored 203 goals and is expected to end his career as the highest goal scorer for the club. The record is being held by Raul at the moment with 323 goals.
