KARACHI: Sialkot Stallions outclassed Faisalabad Wolves by 5 wickets in the final to retain the National Twenty Cup at the National Stadium here on Sunday evening.
Chasing a modest victory target of 110, Stallions, led by all-rounder Shoaib Malik, raced home for the loss of 5 scalps in 16.3 overs. The victory of Stallions was never in doubt after they bowled out Wolves for a meager score.
Rana Navedul Hasan (27), Shahid Yousuf (21 not out) and Abdul Razzaq (24) made it sure to take their outfit to an easy triumph. Earlier, Wolves were unable to withstand a superb bowling by pacers Mohammad Asif, Abdul Razzaq, Rana Navedul Hasan and spinners Abdur Rehman and Sarfraz Ahmed.
They could muster only 109 for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Except opener Mohammad Hafeez (29) and skipper Misbahul Haq (27), none of the other batsmen were able to reach double figures
