Younis Khan unbeaten double century gave Zimbabwe a target of 342 to chase. Pakistan national team was in deep trouble after losing 4 wickets on just 168 runs but the most experienced player in the squad Younis Khan came to the rescue for his team. With the help of an unbeaten innings of 200 runs, he helped his team to reach a lead of 341 runs.

Pakistan had declared their innings at 419 runs for 9 wickets. Younis Khan developed a sixth wicket partnership of 118 runs with the wicket-keeper batsman Adnan Akmal. Unfortunately, Adnan Akmal was run out at 64 runs but then Younis Khan built a strong last wicket partnership with Rahat Ali of unbeaten 88 runs. Younis Khan spent almost 10 hours on the wicket while facing 404 balls and turned the whole situation of the match into the Pakistan’s favor.

This is Younis Khan’s third double century which included 15 fours and three sixes. Younis played his innings in a very calm way in early goings and then scored quick 51 runs in the last wicket partnership with Rahat Ali. The moment Younis Khan reached his double century the Pakistan team immediately announced to declare their innings at a total of 439 runs with the lead of 341.

The Zimbabwe reduced Pakistan team’s innings to 341 runs for 9 wickets before they decided to declare the innings, but it will not be an easy target to achieve for the Zimbabwean team. Zimbabwe off spinner Prosper Utseya took 3 wickets. Till the close of the day, Zimbabwe team reached 13 runs after losing 1 wicket of opening batsman Tina Mawoyo to Saeed Ajmal and he is going to be the key bowler for Pakistan team as he took 7 wickets in the first innings.
