After showing good recent performances as the India A captain in the series against West Indies A, Yuvraj Singh’s hopes to make his return in the Indian National team have just increased. While talking about his comeback to the team Yuvraj Singh said:
“I had a fantastic tournament here in Bangalore against West Indies A. Hopefully it will change things for me.” He was talking to media at the launch of cancer detection month by “YouWeCan” and Indian Cancer Society. Yuvraj further added that he is not here to talk about his comeback in the team as it will happen when it is supposed to. Right now he is here for YouWeCan. At the end of the day I am a cricketer and I am a fighter and survivor.

India is scheduled to play two series against Australia and West Indies later this year and Yuvraj Singh hopes to be the part of the National team’s squad. Although India A lost the series but Yuvraj Singh has shown good form in the recent India A vs West Indies A series by scoring 224 runs in three One Day International (ODI) matches which also includes a match winning innings of 123 runs. While replying to a question, Yuvraj Singh said that it was a quite difficult journey for him after he was diagnosed for cancer after the 2011 cricket World Cup but now he is feeling completely fit.
About the cancer campaign Yuvraj Singh said that Indian people are now more threatened from cancer than ever before so the regular medical checkups is necessary for every person. He said “Early detection of cancer is critical in saving lives. YouWeCan is here to generate awareness about cancer and facilitate its early detection.”
