The left handed aggressive middle order batsman, Yuvraj Singh is all set to make his comeback in the Indian national cricket team for the 2013 series against Australia. According to the announced squad, Yuvraj Singh will be seen in action during the T20 and three One Day International (ODI) matches but has not been considered for the Test series squad.
Yuvraj Singh was dropped from the national team due to poor performance but now has regained his position by showing good form in recent domestic level matches. Yuvraj Singh has scored 123, 40 and 61 runs during three ODIs against West Indies A along with quick 52 runs in the T20 game.
“Yuvraj Returns for Australia series 2013”
While talking to media, Yuvraj Singh expressed his feeling about his return to the team by saying, “I am happy the selectors have reposed faith in me. Now, I have to deliver.”
Yuvraj Singh had played his last match against England in January and has now return to squad to replace Dinesh Karthik. Two other important player of Indian team, Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir has failed to impress the selectors through their performance, so they haven’t been considered for this series.
Four changes have been made to the squad while the remaining line-up is almost the same. Dinesh Karthik has been replaced by Yuvraj Singh, Murali Vijay is dropped for Ambati Rayudu, the key attack bowler Irfan Pathan is not fit so Jaydev Unadkat has been given a chance while Umesh Yadav lost his place to Shami Ahmed.
