One of the most experienced batsman in the current Pakistan batting lineup, Younis Khan, has now become the only fourth Pakistani batsman to score more than 7000 runs in Test cricket. Younis khan achieved this milestone after scoring a half-century in the second Test match against Zimbabwe in Harare.

Earlier in the series, during the first Test match Younis Khan played a match winning innings of 200 runs not out for his team which ultimately help Pakistan team to defeat Zimbabwe in the first Test. He was named man of the match for this innings.
In second Test match Zimbabwean team scored 294 runs while batting in the first innings. In reply to this, Pakistan team seemed to be in trouble but was able to fight back with the help of impressive innings by Younis Khan and Khurram Manzoor. Both players scored half-centuries and Younis Khan became the fourth Pakistani player to score 7000 runs in Test matches. This was Younis Khan’s 49th Test fifty before he finally lost his wicket to Panyangara at the score of 77 runs.
Younis Khan played his whole innings with a lot of patience and confidence. His shot selection was very careful and he kept stretching forward to most deliveries due to several prominent cracks in the patch. Pakistan ended their innings first innings at 230 runs all out giving the lead of 64 runs to Zimbabwean team. At the end of 3rd day of the Test match Zimbabwe scored 121 runs after losing 4 wickets with a total lead of 185 runs.
