Umar Akmal cleared to play again by neurologists

The 23 year old wicket-keeper batsman from Pakistan national cricket team, Umar Akmal has been cleared to play again by the neurologists. Umar Akmal got injured during in last month while playing for the Barbados Tridents during the Caribbean Premier League. Due to this injury rising star from Pakistan Umar Akmal, was dropped from the squad that went on the tour to Zimbabwe for the 2 T20 Internationals, 3 One Day Internationals (ODI) and 2 Test matches.

A spokesperson of Pakistan Cricket Board told media that:

“The good news is that after extensive tests and examination by top neurologists, Umar Akmal has been cleared to play again.” The Spokesperson further added that “It was a one-off incident.”

Umar Akmal expressed his feelings about the board and said that “I am really grateful to the PCB, in particular Chairman Sethi Sahib, for being extremely caring and providing me every possible support including great personal care and counseling.”

Umar Akmal is now completely fit and does not require any kind of further medical checks. He is now fit for physical activities and will try to make his comeback in the national squad in the next month for the series against the South Africa cricket team at United Arab Emirates.
