Saeed Ajmal became No. 1 ODI bowler in ICC latest ranking position.Pakistan spin bowler Ajmal become first one day international bowler in cricket world. Ajmal replaced compatriot Mohammad Hafeez as the No. one ODI bowler with a leap of spots. They was the highest wicket-taker in recently-concluded series against Australia in UAE with ten scalps with an average of 9.9 in the series. His overall rating of 759 is his career-best.
Overlooked for the ICC Awards despite of an impressive performance over the past 12 months, Pakistan off-spinner has been climbed to the top of one-day international rankings.
Hafeez, meanwhile, has been moved to the second position while South Africa fast bowler Lonwabo Tsotsobe, who was the heading the table before the beginning of Pakistan-Australia series, is now ranked third. Hafeez also ranks number-two in ICC ODI rankings for all-rounders besides Bangladesh Shakib Al Hasan.
Ajmal who was omitted from the shortlisted players for ICC Cricket player of the Year, ICC Check Cricket player of the Year & ICC ODI Cricket player of the Year awards despite of being bagging 120 international wickets in the work of the qualifying period for the awards (August 4th, 2011 to August 6th, 2012).
