Misbah-ul-Haq has now become the oldest captain in the history of Pakistan Test cricket. Misbah-ul-Haq is the current captain of Pakistan Test and One Day International (ODI) team. He is a very reliable right handed middle order batsman. He is most famous for his slow batting style but also has the ability to hit big shots according to the requirement of the situation.

Misbah-ul-Haq made his Test debut in 2001 against New Zealand. In early years of his career Misbah-ul-Haq was not able to perform at a consistent level thus was dropped from the team a on a few occasions. He made a real impact in international cricket in 2007 ICC World Twenty20 where he played a few very important innings for his team. Misbah-ul-Haq was again dropped in 2010 from the team but was called back as the captain of the national team since then he has been leading his side till now.

Pakistan cricket team is currently playing a two Test matches series against Zimbabwe. On 3rd September 2013 when he entered at Harare stadium in the first match as the captain of Pakistan national cricket team, Misbah-ul-Haq became the oldest Test captain of Pakistan team having the age of 39 years and 49 days. This honor was held by Imran Khan before this but now Misbah-ul-Haq is the new oldest captain of the Pakistan cricket team.
