The BCCI had earlier issued a 10 day deadline to the Kochi owners to settle their differences. The deadline expires at 1800 IST on Wednesday and there have been no signs of any development till now.

The owners will reportedly hold a meeting on Wednesday.

If Kochi is disqualified, the IPL4 will be a seven team affair, with the number of matches coming down from 60 in the last edition to 46, each team will play at least 12 matches against 14 earlier.

With the number of teams coming down from an expected 10 to a probable seven and each team allowed maximum of 30 players (including 10 foreigners), many players could go unsold in next auction.
