After losing the Ashes Test series from England, the Australian cricket team has shocked the English cricket team with an amazing comeback in the 1st T20 International. That was just Aaron Finch’s day. The young opening batsman dominated the English bowlers through-out the match and ended-up collecting a number of records for himself.

The 26 year old young talent from Australia played a quick and full of excitement innings of 156 runs off just 63 balls. This was a very bad day for the England bowlers and their supporters but a treat for the Australian cricket fans. Aaron Finch scored 156 runs off just 63 balls setting the record for highest runs in a T20 innings by any player. Earlier this record was held by the New Zealand skipper Brendom McCullum with 123 runs.
During his innings, Finch hit 14 sixes which is also the highest number of sixes by any player in Twenty20 International’s. Previously the record was being held by Richard Levi from South African team who scored 13 sixes against New Zealand. Overall the Australian innings score of 248 runs for 6 wickets is the second highest T20 International’s score by any team. The record for highest score by any team in T20 is 260 runs by Sri Lankan team against Kenya in 2007. Finch just missed one record of scoring the fastest T20 century by two balls which is being held by Richard Levi for 100 runs off 45 balls. With the help of Aaron Finch’s innings Australia scored 248 runs and successfully defeated England team in 1st T20 match by 39 runs.
