Faisalabad out from CLT20 2013 in India

Faisalabad Wolves are now out from Champions League T20 2013 which is being held in India. Faisalabad Wolves were defeated by Otago Volts in their first match and by Sunrisers Hyderabad in their second qualifying match of the CLT20 2013. So now they have no chance of qualifying for the Champions League T20 2013.

Faisalabad Wolves have not been able to show good performance in CLT20 till now and were beaten in both of their qualifying matches quite easily by the opponent teams. In the first match against Otago Volts, Faisalabad Wolves scored 139 runs while batting first. This proved to be a very easy run chase for Otago’s as they successfully chased the target in 17.5 overs after losing just 2 wickets. The Otago Volts captain, Brendon McMcullum played an outstanding unbeaten innings of 83 runs.

In their last qualifying match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Faisalabad Wolves were again beaten by 7 wickets. Faisalabad Wolves batting line-up  collapsed once again and they were able to score just 127 runs for 5 wickets in the 20 overs of the game. The captain Misbah-ul-Haq was again the standout performer from his team after scoring 56 runs alone from the team’s total 127 runs.

In reply to this low score, the Sunrisers Hyderabad completed the run-chase in just 17.3 overs after losing 3 wickets.The Sunrisers captain Shikhar Dhawan scored his second fifty in the qualifying matches. Amit Mishra was awarded as the Man of the Match for his outstanding bowling figures of 4 overs, 1 wicket for 13 runs. Otago Volts and Sunrisers Hyderabad teams have qualified for the Champions League T20 2013 and will be seen in action again pretty soon.

Faisalabad Wolves are officially out of the Champions League T20 2013 but they will still play their last match of the qualifying round against Kandurata Maroons. Both these teams have already been eliminated from the CLT20 2013 and this is the last chance for them to show some good performance before going back to their home countries. The match is scheduled to played on 20th September 2013 at 16:00 local time | 10:30 GMT. We hope that Faisalabad Wolves will atleast show a better performance in this match and will give their fans a reason to cheer about.
