Australia had sent out Warner & Watson to face Umar Gul in their super-over over.Pakistan were needed 12 runs for victory in the super-over, bowled by teen pacer Pat Cummins. Abdul Razzaq & Umar Akmal both hit a boundary apiece before latter lofted a single towards mid-on off the final delivery to seal 2-0 series win for Pakistan.

The third & last match will be played here on Monday.The match provided complete entertainment to a 25,000 sell-out holiday crowd, who were left on the edges of their chair as both the teams tussled for victory in the 40 overs.Pakistan had made 151-4 with Mohammad Hafeez (45), Nasir Jamshed (45) & Kamran Akmal (43 not out) contributing with the bat.George Bailey led the Australian run chase with a solid 42.Australia needed 21 off the last overs as Bailey hit leg-side boundaries off Gul but his dismissal, together with his team needing ten off the final over it looked Pakistan were favorites.Cummins hit Abdul Razzaq over long-on to tie the score but off the last ball the Australian batsman was caught, making it the sixth tied match in all Tweny20 cricket.
David Warner started Australia’s run chase with a wonderful 31 off 19 balls, hitting boundaries & a six off Hafeez’s first over.But one time Saeed Ajmal came to bowl, the Australian innings faltered. Ajmal bowled Warner & then had Watson (33), taking his tally to 58 in Twenty20 cricket, the joint top bowler along with countryman Shahid Afridi.
Watson had hit boundaries & sixes in the work of his 28-ball knock.Michael Hussey (23) & Bailey took the secore to 109 before Hussey holed out to Gul. Australia at that point needed 43 off the last overs.Earlier Hafeez hit boundaries in Cummins’ first over of the match but fellow opener Imran Nazir was bowled for zero in Mitchell Starc’s second over.Hafeez & Jamshed shared a solid 76-run partnership for the second wicket as both charghed the Australian bowling with some aggressive batting. Jamshed hit boundaries & a six in the work of his 36-ball knock.
They fell to a superb catch by Dan Christian off Cummins, as the fielder lunged backward & held the ball with left hand.Hafeez hit six boundaries in the work of his 42-ball knock.Kamran added 46 for the fourth wicket together with his more youthful sister Umar who made 13.Kamran hit six boundaries in the work of his knock, helping Pakistan to 90 runs in the last ten overs.
Under the wobbling circumstances skipper George Bailey (42 off 27) launched a recovery single-handedly the accelerated flow of runs on board to dwindle the sky-touching asking-rate.Australia had not yet recovered from the blow when Cameron White (five) got run out thanks to a superb throw from Umar Akmal. overs later Gul ended the resistance of Hussey.The tumble of wickets at the other finish, however, halted Australian semblance.

But Razzaq claimed skipper off the first delivery, caught by substitute fielder Yasir Arafat at long leg. After successive singles it appeared that Pakistan would wrap up victory only but Cummins shattered their hopes by hitting a towering six over long on off the penultimate delivery.Pakistan innings was largely rotating around a swashbuckling 76-run second-wicket stand between skipper Hafeez (45 off 42) & Nasir Jamshed (45 off 36).After the pair departed leaving Pakistan 97-3 in 14 overs, wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal plundered unbeaten 43 off 26 balls to take the total past 150.
