Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL 2012) will finally start in 2012 after it was called up in 2011 due to alleged issues of malpractice & corruption. The match is scheduled between 10th August to 31st August at Premadasa stadium in Colombo & Pallekele stadium in central district of Kandy.Sri Lanka Premier League 2012 fixtures of the leading national cricketers, T. The first event was to be held at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo between July 19 and August four. According to news on Sri Lanka Premier League will be no Indian & England Team player may play in the first season of Srilanka Premier League this year. BCCI Indian players refuse to play in this game and because of this fact there will be no broadcasting of SLPL in India.However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India refused to let its 12 Indian players selected in the event from participating.Furthermore, allegations of corruption and incompetence by SLC and its handing over of the organization to a historically in the past unheard of Singapore-based Somerset Entertainment Ventures put the event in serious jeopardy.The event was postponed to 2012, with the former Inter-Provincial Twenty20 taking its place.Pakistan and Australia series from next month may disturb both teams players to play Sri Lanka league matches.
The organizers of the event said the SLPL so far a success by raising $ 30 million in bids for the seven provincial franchises for seven years with an average cost of U.S. $ four.33 million each. The seven franchises and their icon players Basnahira (Western) Province Tillakaratne Dilshan, Samarkand Urata (Central) Province of Kumar Sangakkara, Nagenahira (Eastern) Province Angelo Matthews; Ruhuna (South) Province Lasith Malinga; Uthura (North) Province Muttiah Muralitharan, Uva (South East) Chris Gayle and Wayamba Province (North West) Mahela Jayawardena Province.
