Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the second edition of the Pakistan Champions League. This T20 Tournament will star from May 20, 2012. All the matches will be played at the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy (RLCA) grounds in Korangi and Gulberg, Karachi.
The event, in which around 95 matches will be held, will last till June 2. The final of the event will be played on 2nd June.

This tournament includes 32-club level teams that are divided into eight groups, featuring domestic sides, along with four international clubs – Canada’s Berry Cricket Club, UAE’s Sharjah Cricket Club, Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Cricket Association and Afghanistan Youth Cricket Club. The local participants include teams from Lahore, Multan, Sialkot, Karachi, Rahim Yar Khan, Faisalabad, Quetta, Islamabad, Burewala, Dadu, Peshawar, Hyderabad, Rawalpindi, Abbottabad and Fata.
Hong Kong national team and Afghanistan Youth Club would land here on May 18 while Phoenix Medicine of the UAE and Riyadh Cricket Association XI and Dammam of Saudi Arabia will reach on May 19, followed by Kuwait national team on May 20. On May 25, Qatar national team will be here.

MQM’s minister for youth affairs Faisal Sabzwari, while addressing a press conference at the launch of the event, said that we support him and we hope PCL only the way for return of international cricket to Pakistan.
He also revealed that the organizers were in talks with clubs from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in order to include them before the event begins.

The official song launching of Pakistan Champions Cricket League will be held at Rashid Latif Cricket Academy (RLCA) Ground Korangi on Tuesday at 3.00 p.m. Former City Nazim and Patrons Inchief of Champions League Senator Syed Mustufa Kamal will be the chief guest on the occasion.
